The Dark Night
This first post is dedicated to my friend Tim, a fellow pilgrim, poet, searcher and bigfoot fan.
Consider the dark night of the soul.
How it weighs and takes it’s toll
Bearing a price some find hard to pay,
A place from where many run away.
It is a place through which we all must pass;
If our faith, hopes, and dreams are to last.
It often grabs you by surprise,
It can overtake you before you realize.
This dark night of the soul,
Battles to take control.
But Christ is there as well,
To carry you through this living hell.
His power, strength and grace
Can carry you in that place
You must believe and trust his way
And you will again see the light of day.
